Stock: NUAN

Today I was looking to buy Omnipage Pro for a faculty member and realized that the company that made Omnipage has been bought by Nuance Communications. The company, ScanSoft, also made PaperPort, the other scanning solution we commonly purchase in our area.

This is the second time I've come across Nuance. Last was when a person asked me about how to buy the latest copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking, the voice-recognition software. Seems as though Nuance Communications also purchased the line of programs made by Dragon.

It seems to me that one of the main reasons that Nuance (NUAN) has negative EPS this quarter is because of these large acquisitions. The stock is trading at in the low $5 range right now and I think is a great buy.
